i made a mossy moss stick out of moss and a stick.

a stick that is wrapped with moss, fixed to the stick with hemp thread. it's sticking in the earth surrounded by plants (some of it ivy). there is a concrete fence post left to it, and a wodden opague fence with a greenish biofilm behind it

i cleared out an old sandbox today, which had a bunch of moss growing on top of the sand.
unlike a rotting old sandbox moss is quite amazing, so i decided to save it.
so i gently removed the moss from the sandbox before i tore it down, and spread it out on some concrete blocks in the sun to clean it a little bit.
i poured a couple watering cans on it to flush away as much sand as possible, and then let it dry for a little while. however, it was still pretty soaked when i bound it to the stick.
i used regular old hemp thread to fix as much of the moss as possible to a thuja stick that someone else threw out, and hopefully it'll grow in well!
